Reconnecting Your Edision Combo Receiver to Your TV

Reconnecting Your Edision Combo Receiver

If your TV equipment was temporarily disconnected during building work etc, you should have three main cables to reconnect to your Edision receiver:

  • Satellite cable

  • Saorview aerial cable

  • HDMI cable

1. Connect the Satellite Cable

Locate the cable coming from your satellite dish. This normally has a metal screw-on connector called an F connector.

Carefully screw this cable onto the connection marked SAT IN or LNB IN on the back of the Edision receiver.

2. Connect the Saorview Aerial Cable

The Saorview aerial cable normally has a standard push-in TV aerial plug.

Push this firmly into the connection marked ANT IN or RF IN on the back of the Edision receiver.

3. Connect the HDMI Cable

Connect one end of the HDMI cable to HDMI OUT on the Edision receiver.

Connect the other end to an available HDMI socket on your TV. Take note of which socket you use, such as HDMI 1 or HDMI 2.

4. Connect the Power

Plug the Edision receiver into the mains and switch it on.

Then turn on your television.

5. Select the Correct HDMI Input

This is an important step.

Using your TV remote control, press the button marked:

  • Source

  • Input

  • AV

The exact name will depend on the make of your television.

Select the HDMI input you used when connecting the receiver, such as HDMI 1 or HDMI 2.

You should now see the Edision menu or television picture on the screen.

6. Use the Edision Remote Control

Once the Edision picture appears, use the Edision remote control to change channels and operate the receiver as normal.

Quick Connection Guide

  • Satellite cable: Satellite dish → SAT IN/LNB IN
