❓ FAQs
What USB drive do I need for pausing and recording?
Use a reliable USB 3.0 stick (32–128GB) or an external hard drive 500g or 1TB. After connecting, format it on the box if prompted. For heavy recording, a powered HDD/SSD is best.
Timeshift says there’s not enough space.
Delete old recordings or plug in a larger drive. You can also shorten the maximum timeshift buffer in settings to reduce space usage.
My recording failed or stopped early.
This can happen due to power loss, drive unplugged, or the drive entering sleep mode. Try a different USB port and disable disk sleep if your drive supports it.
I can’t find Irish Saorview channels.
They usually appear in the first bouquet labelled FTA. If missing, check your aerial connection and rescan Saorview channels.
Can I watch two UK channels and record a third?
You can watch one UK channel while recording another. You can also watch Saorview while recording one or two UK channels, depending on tuner usage (UK Channels on the same frequency)
